Screams on paper

Collages are a great means to express strong emotions, the kind of emotion that just tears you apart. Collage as a medium lends itself especially to voicing discrepancies that are otherwise hard to formulate. Multilayered dialogues can be captured in the interplay of words and imagery. Playing the two off of each other opens a space going beyond the twodimensionality of the canvas.

My work is inspired by the great collagist Hannah Höch, whose work impresses me deeply.
